Old Vs. New Logo

Starbucks has removed the circle of the name of the company around the mermaid image and made the image bigger. Drawing more attention to the mermaid. whether or not this is a good move by the designer i dont really know. It is a well known icon, and the customers seem to have mixed feelings about this change. Inspiration.

Ahhh Inspiration, Why do you be such a fickle woman? It comes and goes at the most random times, for me. Anything sets off my muse but when i really need to buckle down and focus and create something I listen to Classical music (Video game/movie soundtracks ect.


And if that doesnt work I either surf DeviantArt, or poke around on Web Dev.

This image inspired me because of the colors. I really like dark templates. I believe they appear more formal and more complete than the usual white webpage templates.

Funky Fresh Foods.

This was an interesting experience. Im not used to working with other people to create a site. But it turned out to be quite enjoyable. I was in charge of finding content for the site. this means researching a Menu, and various other things for the clients Funky Fresh Foods.


As for working with a client. It was kinda hard, as not much information was provided. They basically said heres the colors and heres what we are aiming for. Not much content related information.

I made this page for my personal website The Reverie Though this was one of  the first ones i attempted. I will be returning to this style of design.

 This is one of my favorite works. and am still quite proud of it.

Blogger Vs. Wordpress

Although Im still tweaking with the controls of word press I feel like I am able to compare the Usability of them both.


Blogger:

Cons
Limited on choices of themes

Pros:
Spam Blocker

Very good for beginners.
Little coding knowledge needed

WordPress:

Cons:
Have to pay for premium themes. very few free themes

Pretty advanced, has a  few basic functions. 

Coding intense for some of the higher functions.


Pros:

Has a ACP (administrative control panel) Much like a forum uses.

Honestly I would Use them both.

Web-designing. Getting down and dirty.

So thanks to Mr. Fienen. Ive been more inspired as of late.  Seeking those new and exciting ways to expand that horizon. For the past few years I have been expecting the college to teach me the things i need to know to become a Web Dev/Designer.  He made the point that the industry moves wayyyy faster than that of a universities class building criteria (Awww)

So I've been sitting at my computer for the past few hours. (in between packing and cleaning) digging up resourses and expanding my knowledge. He made me realize why i started in web in the first place and that was because its one big moving puzzle its always moving and changing.  ITS ALIVE (in a way)

True I do really need to buckle down and work on my Design and coding aspects. Hopefully I can ride this flood of inspiration for a very long time.

I think that might be enough rambling for today.
